I was inspired to create a site to allow people to "barter" (skills, items), be able to give things away, and sell others (used and new). The economy is taking a nose-dive and I just felt that it was time to take the "bull by the horns" and tackle this economic situation head-on.To give people more control over their lives and create a site for exchange.

The next thing to do was figure out how I was going to accomplish this. I have training in "old school" web design, art, have run my own floral shop, and finally finished up a bachelor degree in Marketing. Pooling all of those skills and taking stock of my situation (unemployed) I decided that this would be the ideal business that could help others as well as myself get throught the tough times.

I know that saving money is an art-so I am adding a section of money saving tips and tricks to help. I hope you can pick up a few ideas (and check out some interesting links) that will help and inspire you to reuse, reduce,recycle and SAVE.
